Thought it would be a good idea to start a thread where people can post little updates to any add-ons, modifications, etc. that they've done to their Prelude today. Think of it as almost a communal running diary.

So, what have you done or changed on your Prelude today?

So technically, " I " didn't do it, but I got my car back today after a week...

The entire car was paint corrected, then had Xpel Ultimate Plus 10 year warranty PPF put on Front bumper, hood, fenders, headlamps, mirrors, rockers, door handles, lower door (below the crease), door edges, rear wheel area, and tailgate liftover areas.

Then Xpel Premium V2 Ceramic Coated the entire car (including over the PPF) 8 year warranty, wheels and calipers (3 year warranty) and glass (1 year warranty).

Finally, had Xpel XR Black Ceramic window tint on the sides, rears, and hatchback.

I know, that seems extreme for a $40,000 USD car that will lose half it's value in 5 years, but this is most likely my forever car, so I wanted to keep it looking good for as long as possible.
I will say with the paint correction and ceramic coating, the color is a little deeper, the pearl is more pearly, and a whole lot wetter looking!!!

Refilled the screen wash bottle - again!
I swear I have to fill it more frequently than the fuel tank.

I guess it depends on if your car is kept in garage and what the weather is like. I don't use the washer fluid much here in Texas except during pollen season!

Looks great, and I always say "I didn't do it but I wrote the check!" :)

I actually did it because on the 200 mile drive home from the dealership, it got a rock chip. You know what that's like, the first rock chip or ding in a brand new car cuts the deepest....I was sick about it, so much so the wife saw my distress and needed little convincing when I mentioned the protection package I wanted to get for it (actually, there were some faces of shock when I told her the price, but again, it's going to be my forever car so to me the price was worth it)

Thanks! This will be a great thread to follow!

I know exactly what you mean. I had a Yukon back in the day I bought new.... was the most expensive car I had ever purchased at the time. I took it off roading pretty early on, mudding, etc. I figured, if I'm ever going to do it, I might as well do it from the beginning and get it over with. Definitely was nervous but then had a lot of fun with it... If you are too scared or can't enjoy it, what's the point!

This is an excellent point. I had a few much more expensive cars in the past. I was too worried about one of them to actually enjoy it. I started buying cars like the WRX, Miata, BRZ, Golf R. Cars I could enjoy without really worrying about them.

Washed it at the fru-fru car wash. I saw a blue one near West Manchester in York, PA.

Those scare me on nice cars, always worried they might have rocks or something hard in the brushes to swirl mark the paint :(

Some are touch-less. They only use high pressure jets. Most roller brush car washes have been converted to soft cloth which are supposed to be more gentle. I personally don’t trust them for the same reasons you mentioned. I am worried previous cars might have contaminated the soft cloth with something that can scratch.

Yah, I feel the same as you. Don't fully trust them. Will use them on some cars but not others :)

You are convincing more and more that Red is the way to go. I love the red and black combo. I would even consider the black mirror caps.
@GoZoner have you considered about getting the roof wrapped in black? I like the 2 tone white/black model, am I'm thinking of getting my Boost Blue Pearl top done with Xpel Black wrap...

I've not, but interesting. I do like the 'flame red' - the official color name in Japan - red w/ a bit of orange-feel.

@GoZoner I know you're not interested, but just to give you an idea though what it MIGHT look like on your car and my Boost Blue (I'm still thinking it over)

The one I use is pretty good. I get some swirling but not too much and the ceramic seems to be holding up. I have all of the cars polished each spring. But I really have no choice because washing a car in the street or driveway is illegal where I live.
