So the geek that I am, I've been reading the Owners Manual and see several things I was not aware..
The first of which is: You should "perform the TPMS Calibration anytime the pressure is adjusted in any of the tires"

Yeah, I dunno...I guess without being able to actually see the tire pressures, I'll probably follow the guide...I wonder if this is more of a CYA type of thing instead of something truly necessary.

It determines whether a tire is low in a weird way "the TPMS on this vehicle monitors and compares the rolling radius and rotational characteristics of each wheel and tire wheel you are driving to determine if one or more tires are significantly under-inflated"
