There are a few things in the video that I bet most owners did not know, like holding down the S+ shift button for 2 seconds sends it into individual mode, and when in S+, if you hold the minus padle for 2 seconds when in a higher gear, it will change down to the lowest gear it can for maximum acceleration, all in all well worth a watch.

Now those are neat little new facts I'd not heard before. I was wondering what happens if you hold the paddles. I wonder if you can keep holding it the entire time to force it to be a bit more aggressive with its shifting patterns?

I can't wait to find out. Shame I have to wait another 6 weeks, and to think reviewers on YouTube said they wouldn't sell any, lol. What do they know?

Similarly, with S+ switched off, pull and hold the + paddle and the letter ‘M’ will appear on the instrument panel.

You can now use the plus and minus paddles to manually set a fixed level of regenerative braking. There are seven levels and the highest one is almost like one-pedal driving! (although it won’t quite bring the car to complete halt).

Select the very lowest level and regenerative braking will be switched off completely. This is ‘freewheel’ or ‘glide’ mode. When I first tried it, I was amazed at how far the car will glide when you release the accelerator/gas pedal!

This 'glide' mode is an important part of the hyper-miling strategy that's given me 56-70 mpg [UK]
