This is a long review (40 minutes, but it has a table of contents so you can skip parts if you wish) comparing the Prelude with the “sportiest” version of the Prius and the BRZ/GR86. (Keep in mind that one of these guys LOVES the GR86/BRZ — it “stirs” his soul — despite the interior that he admits looks cheap….)

They decide that the Prelude perfectly accomplishes what Honda wanted to achieve and is exactly in the middle of the two other cars, providing handling that the Prius cannot even dream about (hearing the tires squeal every single time they go around the corner becomes hilarious) and providing a more luxurious interior and commuter ease (no MT) in big cities that are drawbacks in the Toyota/Subaru twins.

I watched this review some weeks ago. It seemed well balanced. Their conclusions were a strong influence on my interest in the Prelude.
Anyway, I bought one and, after some 900 miles in four weeks, I agree with them entirely.

Do an introduction thread and post up some pictures please!

I have a BRZ and my wife has the Prelude. They are two entirely different breeds of cat, that's for sure.

The prelude is an outstanding hybrid GT with great looks and lots of nice amenities.

The BRZ is a pure sports car. It's a blast to drive and handles like it is on rails. It is also fun to mod and there are boatloads of aftermarket parts to do so. I upgraded the interior on mine with matte carbon fiber (big improvement) and I've done quite a few other mods as well.

My daily driver is a 2022 Outback. The BRZ is a toy.

I've always liked the BRZ's... definitely good aftermarket support for them as well. Sounds like you've got some fun cars!

All three of them are fun. I've done quite a bit to the Outback including a 20mm solid anti sway bar for the rear. A Nameless strut tower brace and a Perrin steering damper lock down. It'll surprise you in the twisties.

The BRZ is just crazy quick in the twisties. It is an old school "stomp and steer" sports car. It is loud and if you run over a dime you can tell if it's heads or tails. But man the cornering! You know that feeling when you have a cold and you lay on one side and all of the snot moves to that side of your head? A BRZ will corner hard enough to move snot.

The Prelude is just a fantastic GT in my opinion. It is certainly the ideal car for my wife. I've never owned a car that attracts as much attention as the Prelude. Last week a replacement window salesman was canvasing the neighborhood and the Prelude was in the driveway. He got so excited about the car that he forgot to try to sell me windows.
