I don't think there is any way to stop it really. I've owned black cars, it was impossible. I have recently started going to a car wash that doesn't use water. I was skeptical at first, but I left my truck outside for 3 months. I would suggest getting a Xpel PPF wrap, followed by a ceramic coating....it will really help with those water spots and bug/bird droppings

I'm dropping it off on July 15th for a full detail and ceramic coating application. That will help keep it a bit cleaner.

I was also kind of amazed at how expensive PPF has gotten. I'm sure the quality has gotten better but the prices..... getting up there!

I did wonder if it was a lost-in-translation thing. We used to have beige velour interiors in cars like the Allegro and Morris Marina in the 70s, and they were always a bit of a joke; a typical put-down was hearing aid beige, lol.
