I was lucky enough to collect my Prelude back in March on Friday 13th, one of the early UK examples.
I was hoping my collection date would bode well and so far the Prelude has exceeded my expectations in every department!
It is such a pleasure to drive and I seem to get quite a lot of interest from folk that have never seen one on 'in the wild' so to speak. Having a rare car is always a talking point and probably says more about me appreciating the difference and loving Honda's approach to their customers.
It is a lovely 2+2 GT and doesn't deserve the slagging off the vehicle gets on social media. The luggage carrying capability is astounding for such a car and I even managed to fit in a large adult rocking chair into the boot with the back seats folded, much to my amazement.
Have done a few thousand miles over the last 4 months and so far have a long term average of 56 mpg (UK gallons). Probably the first car I actively seek alternative routes to the motorways to get around, such is the joy of the driving on our notoriously winding B-roads and exploring more challenging driving routes than normal!
