Hello, My wife just bought a red Prelude and is over the moon about it. I drive it occasionally and I think it is a fantastic GT. It rally is a joy to drive and is much quieter and more comfortable than my 2025 BRZ. The BRZ is a great toy (I drive an Outback most of the time) but the Prelude is easy to fall in love with. It also attracts more attention than any car either of us has ever owned.

Car looks gorgeous. Welcome to the site @Alex_Waverley glad to have you aboard!

Those are some obnoxious state-mandated window stickers!

I have no problem with them. They are better that than being put at risk by a bunch of imbeciles that have no business driving on public roads driving unsafe sh*tboxes that have no business being driven on public roads.

People who complain the loudest about the state infringing on their rights never seem to mention their responsibilities. I suspect that this is because they are not able to grasp the concept that the roads are not their roads; they are our roads. Everyone who traverses them has a responsibility to do their best not to harm anyone else who uses them.

Being anti-social does not extract one from society or exempt one from social responsibilities.

No amount of logic or education will convince some people of this, so collectively the responsible among us must do what we can to regulate the aberrant behavior of the irresponsible.

If that means a couple of shiny stickers on the windshield, so be it.

I love the ignore feature.

Sorry for my ignorance, what are those stickers for?
State conformity inspection?

One is safety inspection and the other is emissions.

The safety inspection is basic stuff that every vehicle should stay on top of (tire, brakes, lights; that sort of thing). Cars that are driven less than 5000 mile per year are not tested for emissions but they still need the sticker. There are exemptions in certain areas for vintage and antique vehicles, hot rods/street rods, and so on.

It isn't that onerous. Any vehicle that can't pass isn't roadworthy anyway.

Yeah. I note that the stickers are obnoxious; OG goes into a diatribe about 'social responsibility' and 'aberrant behavior of the irresponsible'; I note, again, that the stickers are big; and OG decide to block me. Alas, your loss.
