A Reviewer Who Gets It

Thank you for the post, we need more of this stuff!

Here is another one with a positive summary. Also addresses the early negative reviews and how she gets it after driving 400+ miles.

I think this is a very accurate review; the guy gets it. And it is very funny as this guy has sly wit.

I had already seen this review (and enjoyed it) before I had the chance to take my new 2026 Prelude down to Tennessee and have a GREAT time on some mountain road curves. Traffic was light so I frequently had the chance to really enjoy it and see how it handled in the curves. It was fun. Even more fun than my Gen 5 Prelude because I could enjoy the corners without having to shift. I was surprised to find that the S+ — which I had previously only used just to see what it did and then left it turned off — actually DID make a noticeable difference on those mountain corners.

Yeah, I was *extremely* disappointed that the new Prelude wasn’t a MT with a moonroof and an additional 50-100hp (I drove my 1999 Prelude for 12 years and regretted selling it just a few months after I let it go, even though I really needed a car with a true backseat at the time), and I will trade this one in if Honda eventually offers one of those (but I’m not holding my breath). In the meantime, I will thoroughly enjoy my new, sleek, black 2026 Prelude!

I love that she admits that this generation of the Prelude is the same s what the previous generations of the Prelude were **at their heart** — when you move beyond the superficial “it always had a MT and a moonroof” and that she admits what I have found… that it actually handles BETTER than my 1999 Gen 5 Prelude.

Did I *want* a MT and a moonroof? Yes. Do I miss those when I am driving my Gen 6 Prelude? No. (Well, not 98% of the time… and I actually miss the moonroof most of all because mine has tinted windows (which I have never had before) and it feels a bit dark inside with the black leather, no moonroof, and the windows rolled up…) This car handles so nicely that I rarely think about that missing third pedal…
