Was washing my Lude today at a self-service car wash and learned a lesson.

I got a little too close with the pressure washer and managed to chip the tail end of the "P" in the Prelude emblem. The moment it happened, I let out an expletive loud enough for everyone at the wash to hear.

Thankfully, I found the broken piece and was able to stick it back on since there was still some adhesive left. It actually doesn't look terrible, but trust me, I know it's there.

I've already ordered a replacement emblem online, and surprisingly these things aren't that easy to find.

So consider this a PSA: keep the pressure washer a safe distance away from the emblem. Don't be like me. 😂

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be losing sleep over a piece of plastic that's smaller than my fingernail.

It's an easy enough fix permanently if you have to end up doing it. I wouldn't stress about it too much. Much worse things could have happened!

Thank you! Very true, it could have been a lot worse. I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like I need to be extra careful with this car because it's still so new and I baby the heck out of it.

This is officially my first blemish after a month of ownership. Hopefully the next battle scar is a long way off! 😂

I think it's normal to feel that way about new cars. I get nervous in all new vehicles, but that wears off after a while.

The first time you hear that graunching sound as your alloy scrapes the kerb is the worst; luckily, some would say miraculously, I have not yet heard it. If you could see the narrow street I live in, you would know what I mean by a miracle. I put alloy protectors on all my cars just for peace of mind; I hate kerbed wheels, though looking at the other cars in my street, others don't seem to give a fig.

...yep..thats why i'm missing the automatic mirror flip function when parking/driving reverse to have an eye on the street border
:)

That's been a pet peeve of mine since I was a kid. And, after you've purchased enough aftermarket wheels for your car and you realize the cost you really really start caring. I've been lucky for a long time now as well but don't live anywhere with tight streets.

Ahhh yes, I've had that on a few cars and it's a lifesaver when you are parallel parking.

I love backup cameras as well. Makes it so much easier to park in tight spaces in parking garages, and it's safer as well. Much easier to pull out.
