The rear seat of the Type R FK8 is also rather spartan; there aren't even any air vents or a center armrest—though I am actually surprised that the red seatbelt theme was at least carried over to the back. Otherwise, it doesn't bother me, since no one ever sits there. And as for the BF01—well, I don't really get the point of that plastic panel in the middle, either.

It is nice to know there is cargo cover available. The shape almost looks like it will not lift when the hatch is raised and opened?

Yes, they have one, but it is rather flimsy and is not a “roller” type… it just slides into (and out of) the grooves on each side of the car. If you look closely, mine is in the car in this photo. With my tinted windows, it is already hard for anyone to see what is in the back, but because I always carry a box with a couple of water bottles, a first aid kit (I take a hefty dose of “blood thinner”, so have clotting bandages with me always in case of an accident), towels, leather wipes, etc., I wanted the interior cover anyway.

Your photo helps explain how it works. The cover only covers part of the opening when the hatch is opened. There is an opening at the rear near the bumper of the opening where you can slide items in and out. That opened area is covered by the hatch when it is closed.
