OEM HomeLink Mirror Retrofit (Confirmed Compatible)

Hello everyone,

I can confirm that the OEM Honda Accord HomeLink mirror retrofit is fully compatible with the 2026 Honda Prelude.

Parts required:

• Automatic Day/Night Mirror Kit (P/N 08V03-3A0-100)
• Attachment Kit (P/N 08V03-30A-100)

When ordering, make sure to also select "2023–2026 Accord Attachment Kit ($44.90)", as it is required for the Prelude as well. The mirror alone is not sufficient.

The installation is virtually identical to the Accord.

• Wiring harness is identical.
• Cable length is correct.
• The fuse specified in the Accord installation manual is correct.
• Mirror mounting and headliner disassembly are the same.

The only difference I found is Step 7:

• On the Accord, the left sun visor holder is released by pressing the locking tab with a small screwdriver.
• On the Prelude, it uses the traditional Honda quarter-turn retainer. Simply rotate the visor holder about 90° and pull it out.

No other modifications are required.

I so want to do this! Thanks.

But, I am hesitant to route the power wires and was hoping the auto dimmer power would be enough. Is it possible to use that power for the homelink power?

(Ah, the auto dimmer is only powered with the engine; the homelink needs power always)

(My current clip-on opener remote is the thing that rattles! I often put it in the glovebox on longer drives. )

Hi, auto-dimm power is only when “key” is in on position, so there is no power when car is turned off. Original auto-dimm mirror use different connector too. Yes, you can create own reduction if you buy/get somewhere proper connector, but I think, $45 for original attachment kit, which is plug and play is better idea.
