A quick hello from southwestern France.
My name is Michel, and I’m about to become the proud owner of a grey Prelude.
I previously owned a 4th-generation Prelude coupe and absolutely loved it.
We had originally planned to buy the Civic Hybrid—in fact, I currently drive a 2008 Civic Hybrid that has never given me a single problem. But when I went to download the Civic brochure from the Honda France website, the page opened on the Prelude instead!
That was it—I fell in love instantly. The Civic is off the table; I’ve ordered the grey Prelude.
Roll on mid-November!
Happy driving, everyone!
:)

This is an english speaking site, so definitely better if you could post in english!

That 4th gen Prelude is 100% the parent of the 6th gen. Welcome!

Hello,
I am sorry.
I actually used Google Translate to translate my message into English and copied and pasted the English version. I don't understand—perhaps it's my advanced age?
I am replying here by typing out the translated text by hand to see if it works.

Is delivery still in November? The troubles in the Middle East are causing problems with transit from Japan to Europe, meaning a diversion around the Cape of Good Hope.

No, delivery has been rescheduled for mid-January 2027.
Indeed, the ships have to go via the Cape of Good Hope, which significantly delays the timeline.
I’ll be receiving a beautiful car that has covered thousands of kilometers......
on the water. :)

That's a shame but I can assure you it will be worth the wait, I have never had a car that has received so many compliments, I thought the S+ was a gimmick until I actually used it properly it really changes the whole personality of the car, and feels so real, don't take any notice of the reviews that say it's not fast enough, believe me in real world driving it feels fast enough to me, and I have had some real performance cars over the years, the way it picks up instantly with a real shove in the back it actually feels just as fast as some hot hatches I have had like the 308 GTi and the I30N.

I'm certain the wait will be worth it.
I'm 74 years old now, and life has taught me to distinguish what I truly need.
Like you, I’ve owned a few sports cars and even raced motorcycles back in the 70s. I still ride my Yamaha 1000 Thunderace occasionally, and I still have a bit of a heavy foot in my Mazda MX-5.
But I’m reaching an age where it’s time to slow down a little. My wife is retiring next year, and this Prelude will be a wonderful way for us to travel, to the UK, for example, and relax with a good beer in the atmosphere of a proper Irish pub.
So, performance will take a back seat to comfort and handling qualities I expect from this superb car, which will suit us both perfectly. ;)
