after all those years .... a new Prelude ....happy to own one... about 40 years after the first one ....

I love the car ....although there are some little, but annoying things in the EU/german version (...speed limit warning ....where has "Walk away auto lock" gone ?...why does the car not use the latest use drive mode...why does the seatback not return to its original position after being folded forward....)
greets

Welcome! If I am not mistaken, that makes three cars from Germany here at the moment ... 🙌🏻

From the little gripes you mentioned, I'd really have appreciated a walk away locking function. As things are, I use the handle sensor to lock after I get out.
The annoying speed limit warning can be turned off before a drive (which I do nearly each time I get behind the wheel). A pity EU regulations do not allow to shut it down permanently.
The drive mode thing is kinda funny - my Prelude does remember Comfort mode if I last used that and will start the car again using Comfort. All other drive modes it seems to forget by the next drive, starting in GT. 😄
And the reason for that annoying seat folding mechanism is clearly to make you not feel tempted to have anybody sit on those back seats! 😆

Enjoy your ride & allzeit gute Fahrt! 👋🏻

...not too many users also in other forums for the new Prelude ....maybe just too "old school" ....

I really wonder why Honda deleted the "Auto Lock" menu item for EU ....its just a SW function with no extra costs....
regarding Drive Mode : manual says that if the last mode was "comfort", the car restarts with "comfort", all other settings restart with "GT" ...so why allo the user a really nice "Induvidual mode" when not restarting with that ....?

Regarding seats ...gues your right :-) ..although there is a warning message to not leave something on the backseat (...which can be disabled) , when picking things from the rear seat requires readjustment of the seat... thats not HONDA like ..(i remember my 20y old 3 door civic back then with mechanical seats that remembered seatback and seat position after folding....)

Speedwarinng...yep, hot topic, my dealer said "...i know, but there are much more annoying implementations out there in the market..." hmmm...doesnt really help me .....and disabling with a dozen "clicks" through the menues BEFORE driving the first meter needs trainig :-)...but does it really have to "beep" from the first kilometer over the limit ...

i know, thats complaining on a high level .... and i have some more : why does the right outer mirror not lower down when i go reverse eg. during parking ? thought that would be standard since a decade :)

Maybe i should not have directly switched from my Infinti Q60 to the Prelude :)

I did switch from a Lexus ES 300h & didn't regret it for one single second. The Prelude looks & drives so well! ❤️‍🔥

You can speed up the 'disabling' process a little bit, by repositioning the buttons on the menu screens. I've set mine so it's 'top-right', 'top right', 'down arrow'.... So I can almost disable the speed warning without looking at the display! :)
