Creative311.com claims the new Honda Prelude might cost ¥6,179,800 in Japan, which converts to about $41,900 USD.

Before you get too excited, this is unverified, so let’s keep the skepticism dialed up. If it’s real, it’s a step above the Civic Type R’s base price in Japan (¥4,997,300, or ~$34,000), but way below the Type R’s $47,090 starting price in the U.S. Meanwhile, the regular Civic’s price gap is tighter starting at $24,595 here versus ¥3,544,200 (~$24,000) in Japan.

This just shows how pricing can vary wildly between markets due to tariffs, taxes, and other factors. Anyone want to guess what the Prelude’s U.S. price might end up being? Or is this rumor too shaky to even speculate on?

That's not bad at all... The tariffs would definitely be a big concern as you mention. I'm guessing it'll be right near that price here as well, within $1000.

was really hoping it would stay in the mid 30's on price....i think that price range will keep some for pulling the trigger on this one. At that price point we may as well wait and see what they do in 2027 with the other versions

With tariff uncertainty though that's not a bad price, IMHO.

I just pulled up the Civic Type R's starting price here in the States, and it's $45,895. Considering the Prelude has the Type R's suspension, a starting price of under $42k would be fantastic!
